Re: v7 changes in processing rate calculations

Post by masonit »

Hi

We have upgraded to Veeam 7 and all the jobs now have compression high as expected. We now plan to move all our vms to a new vcenter environment. From what I understand is that when we then re-add the vms from the new vcenter . This will automatically trigger a full backup of the vms. If we change the compression level to optimal at the same time we re-add the vms. Will this be enough to get benefits of the new compression in Veeam 7 to start working? Or do we have to explicit choose active full after we change compressions level to optimal?

In fact, new active full isn’t required after changing compression level. Thanks.
