Recovering from a failed SureBackup job

We had a vCenter issue (DB full) which caused Veeam jobs to fail, including a SureBackup job, leaving orphaned VMs (one DC, part of the job, and one Virtual Lab VM).
I re-ran the job thinking it might auto-recover. However, it has created a new DC (so I now have 2 running).

What is the best way to recover from this? Should I simply power-off and delete the first (orphaned) VM?

Hi David,

How many active session do you see in the Veeam backup console for SureBackup Jobs? Yes, you should be able to remove the orphaned VM from the VI manually.

None. I was planning on doing that, but didn't know if the orphaned VM was still referenced somewhere in the Veeam database before. Been caught with that with snapshots.

If you don't have any sessions, then I believe there shouldn't be any references left. Once you remove this VM, you may want to confirm that everything is fine with our support team.
