Datadomain VTL supported ?

Post by stevenrodenburg1 »

Hello,

A customer wants to connect a Data Domain Virtual Tape Library via FC to a physical backup-server with B&R 7 R2 (Server -> Fabric -> DD). Is that a supported configuration?
Related question: is a FC direct-connect (Server -> DD) also a supported configuration?
Which Server OS versions are supported in this constellation? Both 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 ?

Kind regards,
Steven Rodenburg

Hello Steven,
I've seen couple reports that users successfully installed Veeam v7 with DataDomain VTL.

Yes
FC direct-connect (Server -> DD) also a supported configuration?
I believe so, but I am not 100% sure, so need to check that.
Which Server OS versions are supported in this constellation? Both 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 ?
Both

Steven,
FC direct-connect could be used so you are good to go!
