Veeam Invalid SSO Token

Post by covingtondc »

Hello,

We recently upgraded vSphere to version 5.5 and upgraded the Veeam plugin to the latest version of 7.0.0.771. When selecting the tab for Veeam in the vSphere Web Client we are receiving the following error message:

"Server error: Failed to login to Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager. Login failed due to invalid Single Sign-On token."

Any idea what might be causing this? I have gone through the knowledge base for both Veeam and VMware and haven't found this exact issue.

Hello David,

Did you just un-registered and then registered Veeam plugin via EM? Have you restarted VMware SSO and Web Plugin services after you've removed the plugin?

Thank you!

Hi,

I've also met the same problem with our vSphere 5.5 lab.
I did un-register the plugin from EM and restart the entire vCenter server.
Then I registered the plug-in again.
But it still doesn't work.

Regards,
Joe

I'd be interested to know if there is a fix for this as I'm experiencing the exact same thing with this plugin version (running on vSphere 5.1) I'm in the middle of a veeam rollout so don't want to get embroiled in a support case just yet... it's just a slight annoyance at the moment.

Kevin, please contact support directly for details regarding that issue, as it is advised above. Only support can provide details as there's still no case ID we could track down.

I recently experienced this same issue. The issue was resolved by adding the user(s) accessing the vSphere 5.5 Web Client to the Portal Administrator role in the Veeam Enterprise Manager. Thanks to Veeam support for their quick response. Support Case # 00505265.
