Adding SSH host for COS partition usage: "access denied"

Post by mdamen »

I am trying to add one of our ESX hosts to enable COS partition usage monitoring.
This results in the error "Access denied", a screenshot of this error message:

Image

Looking at /var/log/messages on the ESX host shows no SSH login attempt.
The following error is logged in the nworks logfile:

Code: Select all

8-12-2009 10:56:57, 6, Method invocation failed: Access is denied. Error: setSshConnectionSpec(vcenter.XXXX.nl [443]/esxtest.XXXX.nl, HostConnSpec(root,******,22))
The nworks documentation states that plink is used for the SSH connection, using procmon (from sysinternals) shows that no plink.exe procces is invoked. So it appears to fail before it even invokes the plink procces.
Any suggestions to solve this error?

Hello Maarten,

Could you tell us if you're able to connect to that host using PuTTy with the same credentials stated in the nworks Management Server? Also it'll be great to see all the logs from nworks MC server UI -> Management Server-> Export Logs, please send them to support@veeam.com
