Bug in the interface ?
hello,
in my backup job properties, i check the box "Perform full backup on these days" and select "sunday".
but the full backup is performed on sathurday...
i have the same "problem" with all jobs.
should i try to select "monday" to perform a full backup on "sunday" ?
someone else with the same problem ?
regards,
vincent

Vincent, what is your support case number and do we have your job logs already? I would like to ask devs to check this ASAP. If there is a bug, there is still a chance to fix it in the upcoming 4.1. I have not seen similar reports so far.

Re: Bug in the interface ?
Gostev,
my case number is 517167
when i check the HTML report of my job the date is correct: full backup was performed on 06/12/2009 (sunday)
but when i want to restore this VM the date of the full backup is sathurday.
and the date of the vbk file is sathurday also.
which logs do you need ?

Re: Bug in the interface ?
Ah, now when you elaborate the issue I understand what is confusing you.
Full backup indeed happens on Sunday for you. The full backup you are seeing for Saturday is the last syntethic full backup of previous incremental chain which started on previous Sunday. As you know, Veeam Backup produces synthetic full after each incremental cycle, which is why you see that full backup file for Saturday. It is expected for that VBK to have Saturday timestamp to, because it will no longer be touched by Veeam Backup: the periodic full backup on Sunday will start the new synthetic backup chain (new VBK).
Look for another, newer VBK file that was created during Sunday's full backup.

Re: Bug in the interface ?
ok i understand but i have other questions:
this full backup from saturday (vbk file) is a stand-alone file ? i mean i only need this file to make a restore at this date ?
below the files i have for my job:
vrb (30/11)
vrb (01/12)
vrb (02/12)
vrb (03/12)
vrb (04/12)
vrb (05/12)
--- vbk (05/12) ---
vrb (07/12)
vrb (08/12)
--- vbk (08/12) --- "myserver.vbk"
which incrementale backup (vrb) is linked to which full backup (vbk) ?
If i want to have a full backup available on sunday in should start a new chain (full backup) on monday right ?
