Hy!
I would like to run VBR commands in PowerShell, like: Get-VBRApplicationGroup, but I got the following error:
Get-VBRApplicationGroup : Cannot convert CSbRole
What should be the resolution?
Thanks.

Re: Cannot convert CSbRole error message when run VBR commands
Hi,
As per the cmdlet code, looks like surebackup role converter found an unknown role assigned to one of the VMs in your application groups and cannot transform it to a proper value to display in the output. For some reason, we cannot correlate role by its id with the list of known roles even though we have a validation logic in place for New/Set-VBRSureBackupVM cmdlets, which create specs for application group vms, that checks for a proper role name and throws an error if it's not in the list even before we create/modify an application group. Sadly, I don't have any adhoc solution here. I would suggest to contact our support team and have a look at the issue together with them. Please also share a case id here once submitted.
Best regards,
Oleg

Re: Cannot convert CSbRole error message when run VBR commands
To add to @oleg.feoktistov's suggestion, when you open a support case, please be sure to include:
1. Logs from the VBR server after reproducing the issue (note the date/time of the test and the username that launched Powershell to test): https://veeam.com/kb1832 Use the 3rd option, and select the Veeam Server
2. Configuration Database Backup if your data-export policies allow it: https://www.veeam.com/kb1471 (if your policies do not allow it, it's not a huge deal, Support can check other ways)
This should help expedite the research @adam900331
