Hello,
I'm working on a script which will backup files from attached snapshot. I cannot find an option to change File Copy Job source. In this topic powershell-f26/powershell-help-with-cus ... 20480.htmlVladimir notes it's not possible (in 2014). Did anything change by any chance?
To explain what am I trying to achieve - the script should backup Kubernetes persistent volumes which are stored as VMDK files and connected to Kubernetes workers as independent persistent disks so cannot be snapshoted. That's why I perform volume snapshot, attach it to host and want to backup the files. And as the source volume changes with every snapshot I'd like to modify the File Copy Job source.
Thanks,
Tomas

Re: Change File Copy Job source
Found out I can use VMware PowerCLI Copy-DatastoreItem and will end up with the same result - directory with vmdk files.
But I'm still curious if anyone tried to modify the File Copy Job using Powershell.
