Hi guys,
Has anyone ever needed to change the retention policy of a job (increase, decrease restore points) using a PowerShell script?
I need to increase the restore points on jobs A,B,C before I run job D. (to ensure no merge occur while job D runs)
Then I need to decrease the policies back to normal once job D finishes so incremental will then get merged... Sounds simple?
I was advised by a Veeam Integration Specialist that this was doable using PS but he was only able to point me to this forum as opposed to actually provide assistance..
Please advise!

Re: Change Retention Policy of a job using PS
Merge is a part of job execution process. So, unless you run jobs A, B and C after D finishes, no merge will happen. Then I need to decrease the policies back to normal once job D finishes so incremental will then get merged
Thought it might be worth clarifying that before we dig deep into scripting.
Thanks.
