Hi All,
I would like to use powershell to automate the deletion of backups from object storage. I read through the list of available powershell commands for Veeam and didn't see one that would work, but thought I would ask here first. Essentially, I need to automate this:

Re: Deleting Backups from Object Storage
Can you describe the use case a bit more? And also how your Capacity Tier is configured (move, copy, move+copy, etc.)? Having this information will help us to understand the situation better and provide the relevant solution. Thanks!

Re: Deleting Backups from Object Storage
My current Veeam environment consists of a single physical server with direct-attached storage which currently has around 200+TB of backups. I don't want to (and can't afford) having 200+TB of backups in the capacity tier in the cloud, but I would like to have our most recent backups in the cloud to protect against a catastrophic ransomware event.
So my plan was to copy the most recent backups to the capacity tier, and then after a week or so, delete the old backup chain so that I still have the most recent backups stored safely off-site, but I'm also not paying for old backups being stored in the capacity tier in the cloud.

Re: Deleting Backups from Object Storage
Such scenario is not supported by Capacity Tier, and you won't be able to tweak that via PowerShell.
You might consider using backup copy job pointed to rotated drive instead.
Thanks!
