Would be a nice touch if when launching the powershell console from the VBR console, if the resulting powershell session was already connected to the VBR server the session was launched for.
E.g. I open VBR console on SERVER1, click on 'Console'>'PowerShell' the session automatically runs "Connect-VBRServer -Server SERVER1" and I'm ready to go
Also ...any news on converting the PSSNAPIN to a module on the PowerShell Gallery?

Re: Feature Request - Automaticall connect to VBR server
By default PS establishes connection to local backup server (Connect-VBRServer "local"), the behaviour should be the same regardless of how you connect to backup server (either locally or remotely).
Are you saying that you see different behaviour in your environment?
Thanks.

Re: Feature Request - Automaticall connect to VBR server
yeah, I connect to my VBR server using remote console, open the console , run say a GET-VBRJob, I see
Aah but you're saying it runs a Connect-VBRserver "local" when it really should be Connect-VBRserver "<vbrserver>" ??
Code: Select all
Get-VBRJob : Failed to connect to Veeam Backup & Replication server:

Re: Feature Request - Automaticall connect to VBR server
I've clarified the situation a bit - indeed, currently you need to specify the server address explicitly while working with PowerShell on remote machine. We' ll think how that can be bypassed down the road. Thanks.
