Hi Folks,
I have some scripts still using on the Get-VBRJob [
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110 ]
However, it always shows the below warning:
Code: Select all
WARNING: This cmdlet is no longer supported for computer backup jobs. Use "Get-VBRComputerBackupJob" instead.
Is there any timeline for us to move away or convert all scripts into using
Get-VBRComputerBackupJob new cmdlet?
It would be appreciated if anyone could clarify.
Thanks

Hi Albert
The command is still available in V12, but not supported.
You should start switching your scripts to the new command as soon as possible if you want to have full capabilities of our product.
Not supported can mean that newly added features for Agent jobs in Get-VBRComputerBackupJob maybe won't be available in Get-VBRJob.
Best,

Hi @mildur,
Thank you for the update and the explanation.
Is there any table or updated cmdlet mapping like
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power ... shell-beta for example ?
This will assist in converting all of the existing script.

Hi Albert
No, we don't have such a list.
In case a cmdlet is deprecated entirely, we add a note box to the user guide with some information.
Our plan is to add a changelog to the user guide similar to changelogs in our RestAPI's.
This should help to let our partner and customers be aware of any changes in our PowerShell cmdlets.
Best,
Fabian
