OutOfMemory from SnapIn

Post by Talom »

A few days ago, we created some new repositories and reconfigured a few jobs and since that my powershell script throws an OutOfMemory Exception.

Code: Select all

Get-VBRBackupSession : Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
I already increased the MaxMemoryPerShellMB from 1024 to 2048 MB but nothing changed.
I monitored the memory with task manager while executing the script and there were no unusual memory consumption.

I never had a problem with this script on all my server and some of them are a lot bigger then the problem server.

Has anyone an advice where to look for more information or a solution for the problem?

Thanks

Hmm, does not look like a PS specific issue. Can you expand backup session list, using GUI, or will you have similar problems?

Sorry for the late reply. We tried a reboot and now everything works fine.

Seems like a temporary system issue (not necessarily related to PowerShell) that went away with reboot. Thanks for the update; appreciated.
