"RegenMetav8u2" PS script error (possibly .NET related ?)

Case 00960398
==================================================

Hello guys,

I need to recreate the .vbm file on a customer's Veeam backup server/Repository. The engineer provided us with the "RegenMetav8u2" PowerShell script in order to get the job done.

Since I've never used it before, I decided to give it a shot in our Veeam lab first (we are running version 8.0.0.2030 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Virtual Machine) and the script recreated the .vbm file on our Veeam Repository as expected.

I performed the same exact steps in our customer's Veeam backup server (running version 8.0.0.2030 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Virtual Machine), however the script to recreate the .vbm file throws the error shown below:

The support engineer suggested to check if the Veeam PowerShell Snap In installed on our customer's Veeam backup server and see if we're able to launch the PowerShell toolkit from the Veeam main menu, however I don't think this error is related to Veeam PowerShell toolkit (we don't have it installed in our Veeam lab backup server either).

It rather seems .NET Framework-related software error.

Any suggestions and thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Massimiliano
