Restore mail items and keep the original folder structure

Hi,

Currently we are using Restore-VEXItem command to restore mail items. but it seems the restored items do not include folder structure of original items. It mix up all mails from incoming mail, outgoing mail, and calendar as well. All restored items are put in same folder.

Does the command support this feature? below is the sample code.

Can you, please, clarify if you are asking about the possibility to preserve initial hierarchy when targeting restore to a separate folder like in your example
or preserve initial hierarchy when a source container is targeted?

Hi Oleg,

it's to preserve initial hierarchy when targeting restore to a separate folder. Because we want to differentiate the restored mails from original mails.

In case of targeting a separate folder it should preserve original hierarchy inside new target folder. Can you, please, share your Exchange Explorer build number? Also, does the same happen when restoring from the VEX UI? Thanks!

After discussion with user, we agreed to change from Restore-VEXItem -Item to Restore-VEXItem -Folder.
