Surebackup Powershell ProductionNetwork

Post by MaartenK »

Hello,

To create a Powershell script for a VirtualLab there is an option called -ProductionNetwork <VBRViVirtualSwitch>

Is it possible to use an Distibusted PortGroup if using a DVS? Using the GUI there is no problem?

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95

with this command I only see the DVS but not the portgroups?

Code: Select all

get-VBRViVirtualSwitch -Server $ESXHost
with this command I see the PGs

Code: Select all

Get-VBRViServerNetworkInfo -Server $ESXHost
How can I select the proper PG for the parameter -ProductionNetwork to go and proceed to create the VirtuaLab?

In the GUI I see a lot more options?
Lab name:NAME
ESX name:ESXHOST
Datastore:VOL211

Appliance:
Name:VR-LAB
Folder name:SUREBACKUP
IP:<Obtain automatically>
DNS:<Obtain automatically>

Network configuration type:advanced single-host

Network options:
Isolated network:SUREBACKUP
Masquerade IP:172.17.41.0
Appliance IP:172.16.40.11
DHCP:disabled

Network mapping:
VLAN70 --> SUREBACKUP

Unfortunately, the get-VBRViVirtualSwitch command only support vSwitches, no DVS.
Also the Get/Add-VSBVirtualLab command only supports Basic Single Host Labs.

From what i can see, you are setting up an Advanced Single Host Lab using DVS.
This will work from the GUI, but not when using PowerShell (as you correctly mentioned).
