Hello Team,
Could someone help me with adding servers to agent-based backup jobs via powershell/commandline as we cannot see this similar to adding multiple VM Jobs.
Set-VBRComputerBackupJob (backupobject) only allows protection groups to be added not individual computers
We have also raised a Case #0713732 regarding this.
Thanks
Mohammed Abbas

Re: Unable to add multiple servers to agent based jobs via PowerShell or REST API
Hello Mohammed,
The interface you see in the UI for adding individual computers to agent backup jobs is just a shortcut to add them to the Manually Added protection group. You can make sure of that by adding an individual computer to an agent job, rescanning the Manually Added protection group and seeing how it picks up the new computer you just added as a source.
It takes a bit different approach in Powershell - you will need to register this computer in the Manually Added protection group first and then add it to a job as a protection group member.
Best regards,
Oleg
