Hi all
I have a laptop computer which is centrally managed by veeam b&r. Now when im offline i would temporarely make a backup to an attached external HDD.
If i try to add another job or if i right click "backup to another location"..i alway get the message "please contact you system administrator to perform a backup" or "backup job settings cannot be configured, because they are managed by your system administrator"
Ho can i configure this that i have the choice?

Re: Add second job or backup to another location when Agent is Managed
Hi Bern,
To configure new jobs on your laptop you need to have Standalone agent.
The Agent managed by VBR will not allow you to configure Backup job yourself.
Thanks!

Re: Add second job or backup to another location when Agent is Managed
Simon,
As a potential workaround: create a secondary job via Veeam B&R server UI (you might need to change this machine license to server), point this job to a local disk (i.e. known path on your laptop) and disable the schedule for this backup job. When you need the backup and your machine gets disconnected from the primary destination - you can manually initiate the backup to a local drive.
Another option would be to use local backup cache to store the restore points locally while your device is disconnected from the repository and sync such restore points later. Cheers!
