Hello,
we have an issue with a deployment of Veeam Agents on machines, where it should not occured.
We set up deploying by AD protection groups and it happense time to time, that some machines, which are not putted into those groups are installed with agent anyway, with no jobs assigned.
Strange think is, that those machines are not in VB&R, so my question is, if you are aware of this behavior and what does it cause?
Only think which came on my mind is expired and renewed DHCP leases, but Veeam does not differenciate between machines by name and IP, but IP and UUID, right? Or?
Thanks for any hint

Re: Agents deployed for no reason at some machines
Hi,
Do you have multiple sites or just one? Also, you've mentioned DHCP renewal, so just to double-check - how about DNS flush, did it happen?
Thanks
Veeam differentiates machines by fqdn+UUID.Only think which came on my mind is expired and renewed DHCP leases, but Veeam does not differenciate between machines by name and IP, but IP and UUID, right? Or?
