Backup and Replication 9.5 Question...
If I purchase the enterprise per socket license for ent plus. Does this give me the ability to back up bare metal servers (physical)? I am not clear as to whether B & R 9.5 provides this feature or if I need to purchase the availability suite for it. Does anyone know?

Re: Backup and Replication 9.5 Question...
Hi Chris,
Yes, Veeam B&R does provide an ability to protect physical computers. Depending on the number of servers you want to protect, you might either need just a per-socket key (Agents will be free in this case) or purchase Veeam Agents (via instance-based licensing). Veeam Availability Suite is a set of products that allow you not only backup VMs and physical servers but also generate reports, for example like this one > Protected VMs.
P.S. I would recommend going with Veeam Availability Suite (instance-based) to allow portability of the license key.
Let me know of that helps!
