Issue running Any Backups for One of the server

Post by MFSiD »

I have one Hyper-V server added to Veeam through which I'm backing up 4 machines without any issues.

1 server is running Agent Based backup and failing for over 170 days now.

Backups are going to NAS storage which was configured using SMB.

I had a support ticket previously and they asked to change that to NFS and the issue is still not resolved.

Current Veeam Case # 07358378.

The storage is 16TB and the Backup fails at 2TB Mark.

New Volume (F:) (16.1 TB)
Error: Failed to establish a connection: cannot find valid IP address
Error: Storage 'nfs3://192.16.111.111:/volume1/Veeam/server2/server2/server2_to_nas - SERVER2D2024-08-07T230025_0634.vbk' is closed. Failed to download disk 'a12d967c-c349-49ce-b1a6-eec8b5c82a6c'. Reconnectable protocol device was closed. Failed to upload disk. Skipped arguments: [EmulatedDiskSpec>]; Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}

Any Ideas?

Can your target storage handle larger than 2TB files? What Storage target system do you use with what Software on it?

The issue was resolved by following instructions here:

veeam-agent-for-windows-f33/cbt-install ... 89180.html

Thank you.

I would like to point our for the R&D Team that this issue started after we upgraded our Veeam Backup and Replication server from v11 to v12.
