I have setup one backup job on a new SQL cluster that has 2 nodes, passive/active. using the Agent
This cluster is hosted in an ESXi system so we are talking about VMs here.
backup job runs fine and also using transaction log backup every hour.
My question is, What is the correct way of doing a full restore of the cluster (both nodes)
Should i create 2 new VMs manally and boot the recovery media that i have created for each node?
Or is there another way that can restore the VMs?

Re: SQL Cluster restore
Hello Danne84.
The correct way would be to restore node one by one from single restore point using Bare Metal Recovery. Since it's a VM you have to create a blank VM and attach an RE ISO image made from the backup of the cluster node.
