VEEAM B&R installed on Win10
Hello Comunity,
I am quite a newbie with VEEAM, but I like to experiment with everything.
I Installed VEEAM B&R 9.5 on a Win10Pro system and tested a little bit what is possible. (On WIN10 Enterprise it is not possible to install VEEAM B&R)
It is a lot less expensive to install on WIN10 as it is on a Server-OS. I would like to let it so because of the costs.
To this Win10 maschine is a Tape-Library connected (Superloader3) and I have a Windows 2016 Server with 2 VM under Hyper-V
I have some Workstations under Win10 wich are working with a VEEAM-Agent for Windows.
Works all fine untill now.
The Version Win10 1909 works. When I make the Update to version 2004 it is not possible to make a connection to the VEEAM Services.
On the localmaschine I get the message: Connection refused to 127.0.0.1:9392.
The Agents cannot connect to the VEEAM-Host either.
When I go back to the version 1909 everything works fine again.
Any idea what can solve this Problem?

Hi Jacob, welcome to the community! Most likely the problem is that Windows 10 2004 is not yet supported. See a couple of exiting threads for more info. Thanks!

Windows 10 version 2004 was released 1.5 years after Veeam B&R 9.5, so of course it's not supported by it and will never be supported, so you will need to upgrade to Veeam B&R 10.
Veeam B&R 10a release later this summer will support Windows 10 version 2004.

Short update - you can install Veeam B&R v10 today and roll Veeam Backup & Replication 10 Cumulative Patch 2 on top of it. Agents on top of Windows 10 version 2004 will work without issues with latest cumulative patch. Cheers!

Just FYI: official support status notwithstanding, I've never had an Agent or B&R failure due to my Windows build being "too" new. Ever. Patching and updating when said patches and updates are offered to my machines is one of my core principles, and Veeam allows me to do that without worry.

If you still have issues with 2004 build, please raise a ticket with our support team. Veeam Agent for Windows 4.0.1 RTM is now available via support channel and you can request it if needed. Cheers!
