Why do I need to use the built-in Administrator for agent backups?

Hello,

I'm just trying to set up some agent backups via the Backup & Replication suite (Protection Group >> Physical & Cloud Infrastructure).
I noticed that I can only connect via built-in Administrator to my Windows client. If I use another account (member of the Administrators group!) it simply throws RPC errors.

Can anyone explain this behavior?
Is there a way to use other administrative accounts instead of the built-in Administrator?

It should work with any user that is a member of the Administrators domain group. Could you please raise a support case with our tech. support engineers to get it sorted?

One thing to check here - what if you disable UAC, do you still see these errors?

Hi, i have the same problem, have you receive a solution from veeam ?
I probably use the Vitaly's solution but, i'd like to use our own local account.

Use this Solution, if you use nondomain joined devices (or local accounts)

I use domain joined devices, but we use local admin account to manage our devices.
With this solution it work perfectly, i think i'll use it.
