Hi All,
I am trialing Veeam Backup and Replication V9 and have a question regarding archiving monthly Backups to tape.
I have a hyper v backup job that is set to run every evening this backs up using incremental and then full synthetic at the weekend, I keep the data for 31 days on disk, I would like to archive the backups including incremental and synthetic to tape once a month, could someone explain the best way to achieve this?
I have done a backup copy job and then configured a secondary destination for the job, but that does not include the incremental changes.
Sorry if this is a silly question as I am new to veeam.
Kind Regards
Daniel

Re: Archiving Monthly Backups to Tape including Incremental
Hello Daniel,
You should start with creating a dedicated media pool for your backups. If you wish, you can create two media pools – one for full backups another for incrementals. Then you need to create a backup to tape job and point to the said media pool.
