Hi All,
I am currently trialling veam, i have created a backup copy job to tape and it is very hit or miss whether it is successful or fails, apon looking at the job it appears that the reason it has failed was due to an endpoint backup that was running. My question is, i currently backup all servers once a day every day, so surely i am always going to pose a risk of an endpoint backup failing the job. The Backup copy job is approx 11 Tb so will run for 1.5 days.
How does everyone else archive to tape without this issue occurring?
Thanks in advance
Daniel

Re: Backup Copy to Tape
May I ask why you aren't using Backup to Tape jobs? Backup copy jobs are created for a disk to disk copy.

Re: Backup Copy to Tape
Do you enable 'Use Microsoft volume shadow copy (VSS)' in General options under 'Options'?

P.S.: Well, I don't believe he really uses Backup Copy Jobs for tape operations
