Backup to Tape Job Priority

Hi there,
Does anyone have any use cases where they want to disable the Backup Copy jobs running (Any time schedule) as these run constantly.
As our main repository are StoreOnce, we want to dedicate the time for reads while an Backup to Tape job is running.

Does anyone have an example of Job scripts to run before/after the job - to disable/re-enable the Backup Copy Jobs as required?

You can prevent source job from running by enabling corresponding option. I'm wondering whether you're using per-VM backup chains, as such scenario might have some peculiarities. Thanks.
