Another question is if i have NFS and SAN storages,

Re: Backup to Tape
Not exactly. You have to install Veeam B&R management server itself on a physical server to be able to perform tape backups. However, we are planning to support libraries and standalone drives connected to Veeam B&R proxy servers in one of the next releases.shinbun wrote:The question is if i want to backup the date to Tape,

Could you please elaborate on this scenario, are you talking about copying backup files from one storage to another with subsequent tape offload? Or is NFS storage your primary storage where running VMs reside?shinbun wrote:Another question is if i have NFS and SAN storages,

Re: Backup to Tape
Depending on type of copying data, you can use either combination of file copy and file to tape jobs, or combination of backup copy and file to tape jobs. Thanks. What can i do for it?

Re: Backup to Tape
1) Create backup jobs, pointing them to SAN device.
2) Create backup to tape jobs, using newly-created backup jobs as a source for them.
This way, you will have both backups on disk, and archived copies on tape mediums.
Thanks.
