Backups and Backup to tape

I am currently performing the following: I have read the GFS user guide but not completely clear.

I have a backup that is scheduled to run everyday of the week w/ 7 restore points on disk(Forever forward Inc)
After the job completes, I have a Backup to tape that backs these files Full and Inc to the tape pool (1 Week retention, M-Fri, w/Fri performing a Synthetic full)

I also need longer retention periods so,

I have a GFS Backup to tape job:
Weekly backup: Sundays (4 week retention)
Monthly backup: Last Sunday of the month(12 month retention)
Quarterly backup: Skip
Yearly backup: First Sunday of the year(1 year retention)

I just want to make sure if I have this configured correctly and I am not over thinking something for this configuration. I just want to protect daily backup while also have a long term retention

Any suggestions are welcome.
