Best Practices for Tape Job

Hello All,

Been lurking for while, thought i'd ask how everyone have their tape jobs scheduled? And learn a thing or two from asking this. As of right now, i have it set to start tape as soon as backup job is done. For all 14 jobs.
Might have been asked before but why not.

Hi hukay,
From what I’ve seen that is one of the most popular schedule options. Another idea is to set up the backup to tape at the end of the week to collect all the weekly backups. In such case, media rotation is easier as you can predict when you need to load fresh portion of the media.
