Cancelled restore point restore left vbk file on disk

Post by pshute » Feb 13, 2018 10:58 pm

Normally if I restore a restore point from tape, I see the restore point in the GUI so I can get rid of it when I'm finished with it.

Yesterday I started a restore, then cancelled it after a few minutes. It now seems that it had created the vbk file and then left it there. I can't see any place in the GUI to delete it, so I've had to delete it manually.

Is this normal? I'm running 9.5.0.1038.

This also caused our main backup to run out of space overnight, leaving one VM not backed up. Is there a way to get it to retry the backup to include that VM?

Select the job and click the retry button or right-click the job and select retry.

Excellent, that solves that part of the problem.
