If this has been asked before, my apologies, i did indeed search prior.
I changed the retention values for a media pool that already has tapes in it. Basically I changed the monthly retention from 12 months to 3 months. I expected the tapes that were already in the pool to reflect the change. it does not appear that is the case. Is there another step i need to preform in order for the tapes that contain data, and are more than 3 months old, to be changed to expired (thus I can reuse the tape). They seem to maintain the original retention date when the tape was written to. Or am I out of luck and this is now a manual process? if so, i would like to request this as a feature enhancement.
thank you in advance.
