Direct restore vm disk from tape

Hi,

we are planning to use tape drives with Veeam 9.5, i am glad to see there is a direct restore option from tape now. My question is, is it possible to directly restore vm disks (only) from tape or do i need to stage that to a repository?

While restoring VM directly to infrastructure you cannot set any disk exclusions. So, you can either restore VM a whole directly to infrastructure and then remove unneeded disk(s) from it or restore backup to staging repository first and after that restore or export only required VM disks. Thanks.
