Drives not showing under library
Hello all -
I have been wracking my brain trying to get this to work and it is just not working properly. Here is my scenario:
VEEAM B&R 9 - Tape Infrastructure > Libraries
Both active libraries show up on the same menu level as both active drives. See below:
Note the 4 highlighted entries. We renamed the one library to DO NOT USE since that is partitioned off for use in COMMVault. The weird thing is, the libraries do not see the drives, but see the tapes :
And the drives that are split out, show the drives, but do not show the tapes :
I have tried the registry fix, add TapeDevices value with ProxyName and changer0=tape0:0, but that does not seem to do anything unless I am entering something incorrectly. Has anyone run across this before that could assist?

Re: Drives not showing under library
Hi jwsdi,
Noticed that you are using the default windows driver which operates over SCSI. Can you check if your library has proper windows drivers and if its possbile to get them installed?

Hello Dima, thank you for the reply.
Currently we are using Spectra Logic drivers from Spectra's website. They display as Spectra Logic Medium Changer. v2.0.2.5.

Jason,
Can you share the screenshot of the device manager with tape devices (drives and medium changer) being displayed?

Re: Drives not showing under library
Thanks. In Veeam B&R, right click the library icon and uncheck the Use native SCSI commands instead of Windows driver check box

Re: Drives not showing under library
Depends on installed drivers. For instance, 'Use native SCSI commands' is enabled automatically if Unknown Medium Changer driver is used.
