Hi,
After a strange issue with the tape backup job after upgrading to v11 (Already logged with support - 04848308), I've decided that I'd rather have the tape backup job start when the backup jobs have completed first.
To make sure it starts when the last backup job finishes, I was thinking of using a 'Job Script' to monitor the backup job, or check to see if a VBK file with today's datestamp on it exists, etc. Has anyone done this before and would like to share the script? Or know of a better way of pausing the tape job?

Re: Job script to start Tape job after Backup job completes successfully
Hello Steve,
You can use 'After this job' schedule to start tape job right after the needed backup job is completed. Additionally, you can setup the tape job to wait for the backup job completion.

Thanks for the quick reply Dima.
This would have been ideal (it's what I use to link several backup jobs together), but it looks like you do not get this option if the media pool is set to GFS.

Steve,
Understood. For GFS it's not really required - tape job awaits for new restore point to be created out of the box. However, if there was no restore point it uses previous available date as for GFS creation.
