Mixing LTO5 and LTO6

Our data grow over time and LTO5 tapes are now require 3 tapes instead of 2 per week.
I thought of buying some LTO6 tapes and using one LTO6 and one LTO5 tape per week.
Can I configure such a scenario with Veeam B&R or will it just use the next free tape regardless of size?

That should not be a problem if your drives can read/write both formats.
