Hi, we have an HP 4048 with two LTO5 Tape-Drives. We changed the backup system to Veeam 8 and we are confused about the fact, that Veaam can't work with an pool of tape-drives.
I found threads from 2013 here in the forum about this. ;-((
One tip to resolve this is to create a second media-pool for daily backups and link this with tape0 or tape1.
We try this, but in the poperties of the pool (under the item tapes) is the tape-library fix linked wit the media-pool. the drop-down field is inactive (grey), so i can't change it.
what's wrong with my installation?

Re: More than one Tape-Drive
You can create several media pools on top of one library that happens to have multiple drives. Then, create different tapes job, pointing them to different media pools. Once executed, jobs will make use of different drives.
Nevertheless, we're now thinking how this situation can be handled in better way in our next release.
Thanks.
