We have multiple backup jobs and now have a requirement to create monthly tape backups of those jobs. Is there a rule-of-thumb on how many source jobs should be in a tape job? Using LTO8 media and 2 drives. The total will be multiple TB of data in total.

Nope, there is no limit or best practice here - you can create as many tape jobs as you need (for example multiple tape jobs based on source workload type or source job schedule) or keep all source jobs within single tape job. Cheers!
