Feature request – verification

We would like to see a tape verify function, were after the backup has finished the entire tape (or tapes) is read again and some sort of MD5 checksum is used to determine if the tape reads ok.
When implemented as a tick in the tapejob properties it would save me lots of time verifying backup tapes.....
We use an 8 tape autoloader, so no manual intervention would be needed in our case at all.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s a good feature request indeed and we do have plans to include this functionality in next version, though it’s not going to be introduced in the upcoming v9.
