Hi! I've added a tape server which is attached to my tape library. I then added the tape server to my backup infrastructure on my Veeam 8 server.

I am able to see 4 of my LTO4 tape drives from the Veeam Backup and Replication server. But how do I scan the tape library to see the tapes in the tape library?

How do i create scratch pools and storage policies? How do i aux copy jobs to the tape drives and set retention policies. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Benjamin,
To start working with tape media which was previously loaded to your tape library you need to run the ’Import Tapes’ command from the Veeam Backup and Replication.
