Tape library compatibility list - Gen. 9, 10 - Veeam V12

Post by nscblauensteiner »

Is there an official compatibility list of supported tape libraries generation 9 and 10 for at least Veeam version 12?

Thanks in advance,
Lukas

Hello Lukas

We don't have a official compatibility matrix for tape devices and Veeam products.

Veeam supports LTO3 - LTO9. LTO10 is not yet supported.

We have an unofficial Tape library compatibility list which gets updated from time to time.

You may also check out our Veeam Ready list.

A tape drive or library which has worked in V11 can safely be considered supported for V12 too. You only need to make sure that it supports an LTO version between LTO3 and LTO9. And it must use a supported connection type:

If you are not sure about a specific type, you may ask in this forum if other members have experience with it or ask the vendor of the tape drive/library if he provides a compatibility list for third party software.

Best,
