Tape media pool and tape recording tasks configuration.

Colleagues, I need your advice.

The current configuration is as follows:
Backup:
Repository number 1.
Retention policy is 7 days. 1 full backup and 6 increments.
Backup copy:
Repository number 2.
Storage policy - 30 days. 1 full backup and 29 increments.

The data must be written to tape. A total of 2 categories of data.
First category: Critical data. Data storage for the last 10 years - monthly full backup. Last year: monthly full backup and 365 increments.
Second category: Important data. Storing data for the last 12 months. Monthly full backup and 365 increments.

I need your advice on how to properly configure the tape media pool (GFS or standard) and tape recording tasks.

and welcome to the forums.

As you are asking for a GFS retention, I would go with a GFS media pool (I assume that your storage policy is exactly as you wrote: forever forward incremental without synthetic / active full or GFS)
