Hi Folks,
Overview-
10Gb backbone
HP P2000 with 22 VM's running (apprx 3.5TB) - 2 LUNS
HP 2000 slave 20TB Sata - 2 LUNs 10Tb each - iscsi Hard mapped as drives (M and N) to the HP Z800 Workstation
HP2024 Tape Library
P2000's plugged directly into 10Gb Core switch
Z800 Plugged directly into 10Gb core switch
Tape drive 6Gb sas plugged directly into z800
(esxi 5.1 x 2 plugged into core switch)
Veeam backs up all VM's to the 10gb LUN, no sweat (M drive on z800)
Veeam Tape Repository is configured as M:
Backup runs and only backs up 3 of the 22, the same three each day.
I have deleted the Tape Job and recreated it, with the same repository and the same thing happens, 3 VM's of 22.
I can confirm the VM's have delta's so there is changes.
Not sure why its only selecting the same 3 VM's. This is my question.
One last question will Veeam stream the VM's directly to the Slave P2000 or will it stream the job via the workstation?

Re: Tape skipping VM's
I gave up.....
Uninstalled and removed DB.
Reinstalled and created a new DB, applied patch 7.1, recreated the environment, ran all the jobs - perfect.
Ran the tape job again - perfect.
Initial issue?....Who knows, had Veeam support analyse the logs, but was running out of time.
Anyway, its fixed and I'm moving on.
Thanks
