Hi,
I need help for understand this strange beaviour :
I got some new tape, then I assign its on Free pool.
Then, I write to all tape...and works fine.
Then, when I have all tapes offline, I move all tape to Free Pool.
Next, insert one tape to my standalone tape drive and run a FileToTape backup job.
Bun the tape inserted is unusable because is set to "Unrecognize" and need user intervention to set "Mark as free".
Why I got this issue ??
Is a bug ?
thanks for any help.
P.S: sorry for my bad english..

Re: Tape unrecognized...
Not sure whether I've understood your scenario completely. You have a standalone drive and variety of tapes to which you wrote the data. Once the data was written and tapes got offline, you moved them to "Free" media pool. Then, you tried to insert one of these tapes to the drive, and got the "Unrecognized tape" message, right?
Also, are you aware that moving tapes from one to another media pool marks tapes as free and, therefore, the previously written data will be eventually lost. So, what is the reason of moving all tapes to "Free" media pool?
Thanks.
