Virtual full backup schedule

Hi, I have configured a schedule for a virtual full backup (as far as I understand nothing more than the creation of a temporary vsb-file on disk) on Saturday (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110). At what time does it start or end, how can I see that? I want to be sure it is finished before my Backup to Tape job on the same day starts (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110). [Background: I make Forever Incremental backups to disk and did not select Archive incremental backups to tape”.] Al last, is it correct that a Backup to Tape job ignores Incremental backups on disk that are made after the (last) virtual full backup?

it is synthesized directly on tape on the fly, when the tape job runs.

It takes the latest backup from Saturday in your case. If you create increments on Sunday, it will still send the data from Saturday to tape.

It starts according to the schedule of the tape job because virtual full is created during regular job run.

Hi, my questions are answered, thanks for that, and all works great, I only ask myself why if I edit a Backup to Tape job, I see 2 different schedule buttons while apparently I can schedule only 1 thing.

You are welcome! Schedule button under full backup defines when create virtual full backup while schedule step on the wizard defines when to start tape job. If tape job does not start virtual full backup wont be created at the set day.
