Hoping someone can shed some light on the best way to do this.
Currently we have a backup jobs that run daily Sunday through Friday (Full on Sunday, incremental Monday through Friday). On Saturdays we have a tape job that writes the weeks data to tape. Because we have a large amount of data, the tape job takes anywhere from 24-30 hours to write. For what it is worth, we are using LTO-6 tapes.
Our management would like to have our backup jobs run everyday, but still have our weekly tape job run.
What would the best way of doing this be? Someone had mentioned a backup copy job and then that going to tape, or copy the VBK files somewhere else and do a File to tape job.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Weekly tape backup with daily incrementals
Hello ahaddon.
To clarify all source backup job is running with periodic fulls (synthetics or active full) and tape job does not have any forever incremental backup jobs selected as a source? Thank you.
