Post by Gallus23 » Mar 28, 2018 3:17 pm

Hi Guys,

With my limited Linux skills I'm trying to install Veeam Linux agent v2 as below...any idea where I'm going wrong..
This is the output from the yum install veeam.....

Based on this line:

Code: Select all

Building only for 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64
You are trying to install on Redhat/CentOS 6 (the "el6" in the package name indicates this), but based on this:

Code: Select all

veeam-2.0.0.400-1.el7.x86_64
You tried to install the pakage for Redhat/CentOS 7 (the "el7" indicates this). This is further confirmed by the fact that the command that is failing. "systemctl", would not exist in Redhat/CentOS 6 but would for Redhat/CentOS 7, as that's when Redhat switched to systemd.

Try downloading/installing the package for RHEL/CentOS 6 and installing that.
