backup physical file cluster

Post by archibaldicus »

Hello,

I am trying to test a backup of a physical file cluster using Veeam Agent for Windows, but I'm not getting it to work properly. I have created a protection group and added the cluster FQDN to it. Veeam detected the 2 underlying nodes and installed the agent on them. Easy peasy you'd think. After rebooting both nodes, I tried to create a backup job for the clustered drive F:\. This went easy as well. However, when running the backup job, I am getting the error "There is an unclosed literal string. Line 1, position 6316." on one of the cluster nodes.
When I run the backup job on a standalone cluster node, it works fine.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I am running Veeam 9.5 Update 3, which claims to support Failover Clusters.

Regards,

Stijn

Hi Stijn,

Unfortunately that error message can be anything. But there should be much more information in the logs that our support engineers can read out. Could you open a support case, post the case ID here and let us know the follow-up after investigation with the engineers?

Thanks
Mike
