There should be some installer log files in C:\programdata\Veeam\* which you can use to troubleshoot.
But it‘s better to open a support request with veeam support.
It‘s mandatory to open a request first before posting here. Mods can delete your question if not:
veeam-backup-replication-f2/rules-of-po ... -t755.html

Christian,
If you're installing the latest version of the Agent, then it should also be the latest version of the Veeam B&R server which is 10a now.
Thanks!

Hi all, we are getting this same error on all our veeam 11.0825 servers after renaming the admin account originally set up as the credential used for our hyper-v servers in b&r. I have added a new credential but we immediately get the "not compatible with installer service" message when trying to update properties on any of our hosts. All jobs are failing of course.

Hello John,
This thread is related to agent backup (so issues described above were related to agent installation). Are you saying that changing credentials for the Hyper-V host affects the connected agents as well? Thanks!

Hi Dima, an AD domain account was used in the credentials box when installing the hyperv cluster hosts. That domain account was renamed, and now the error is thrown for all hosts in the domain.

We manually uninstalled the installer service from the hosts and then pulled up their properties from the b&r server and it reinstalled it - but when we run a job it says "source host xxx requires Veeam integration components to be upgraded" - but it's not recognizing or updating anything.

John,
Can you open the wizard for Hyper-V cluster in Veeam B&R and click it till the apply step where components are installed. That should perform a check for the components versions and install the correct version if needed. If that does not help - please raise a support case and share the case ID with us. Thanks!

I think fully uninstalling all veeam components, then pulling up host properties in b&r to force a reinstall, THEN rebooting the b&r server has done the trick...

Does the Veeam Agent requires specific set of Veeam backup Server to work properly ?
If you can please share the compatibility matrix or table so we know when not to update the VBR server to prevent outage or backup stop on the Veeam Agent Backup server is running, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Veeam V11
It needs Veeam Agent 4.0 or 5.0 to backup. It can update Agent 3.0 to the newest version.
Veeam V10
It needs Veeam Agent 3.0 or 4.0 to backup.
