Import backup into B&R 8

Hi,

i've just tried to import and "restore" an EnpointBackup VBK file into B&R 8.

Import works just fine but i cannot restore or browse the backup.

is this a known issue until backup to B&R repository is implemented?

Hello,

Even you can import the Endpoint backups to the VBR, all other operations inside the VBR with Endpoint backups are not supported, and moreover, it might affect you existing VBR configuration. Please avoid importing Endpoint backups to the VBR for this BETA. Thank you.

The backup job worked OK, and the VBK imported seemingly OK in to Veeam 8 but I am unable to use the file browser, it reports the following in the job window:



Can anyone advise why its having permission issues?

Hello Carly,
Endpoint BETA backups are not supported in the current version of the VBR. Please wait till GA.

Have Win7 PC using endpoint protection. Backing up to shared network drive. Have Veeam 8 B&R. Can import backups from workstation. But, when go to restore, takes forever and then replies with error. Never mounts. CAN restore from workstation just fine. May not be an endpoint error - having trouble with Veeam 8 as well.

As stated above, this is not supported until GA. We strongly suggest NOT to do this until we support it.

I've read somewhere that endpoint backup will integrate with Veeam B&R 8.0 and later. We're running Veeam 8.0 on a Windows Server 2012 R2. I'm in the process of evaluating endpoint backup as a solution to replace some of our physical backups. However, during the backup job configuration, the only options I see for destination are "Local drive" and "Shared folder." The 'Veeam Backup & Replication" option at the bottom is disabled. Has anybody seen this? Is this intentionally disabled in the beta, or am I missing something in my install/config?
